Testimonials

  • As an Art Director

“In my 26 years in Biomedical Visualization, I have not had the privilege before of working with anyone that has such a brilliant nexus between creativity and organizational excellence that Molly has! Her award-winning scientific storytelling is only rivalled by her masterful methods of managing client expectations and commercial considerations. This unique contest propels her work into the ideal realm of vastly surpassing client needs and rendering a yield for re-investment and profitability for any studio or creative agency that is lucky enough to have her on board.

Molly is an uncommon talent! Her recognition for aesthetic significance and her discernment for the truly beautiful in biotechnology, pharmacology and life sciences… impeccable! She is dazzling across all elements of the narrative pipeline from previsualization and storyboarding to final sound design. She always has the perfect ear and eye for melding sound and vision. Molly’s artistic sensibilities are limitlessly expressed in all mediums…past, current and emerging.

Her expertise in project management is felt in every account in house, even when she is rarely absent. Molly has built systems of efficiencies that all team members use. Our entire organization employs tools and strategies she has created and tested for flawless execution of complex timelines and production schedules. I aways feel most comfortable when she is involved in client communications and her artistic look development and storyboard frames go uncontested. I simply cannot recommend Molly Huttner highly enough. She is a phenomenal creative talent with the utmost professionalism and organizational expertise!”

  • As a Collaborator

“I’ve had the pleasure of calling upon Molly to collaborate on a series of animation projects over the years, owing to her considerable strengths as a certified medical illustrator. Molly is a team player - exemplifying positive energy - who quickly grasps a project’s subject matter at hand and insightfully explores, through initial client contact, the key elements needed to tell the story. She is an excellent communicator both through the written word and her extensive visual skills. Molly continually exceeds expectations as a medical illustrator animator and particularly relishes the challenges of grappling with complex subject matter.”
    -Mark Lefkowitz, MA, CMI, FAMI

“For two years Molly and I were colleagues at Veritas Health, where we worked together on several projects (me as a writer, Molly as an illustrator/animator). She is a great collaborator — positive, team-oriented, and exceptional at communicating highly technical anatomy concepts to a layperson. Whether it was for a stylish infographic or a complicated video, Molly produced great results and was a pleasure to work with.”
    -Hal Koss

“Molly and I worked together for the creative team at Veritas Health. Molly is a skilled illustrator and animator, and is always striving to learn new techniques and concepts. She is well-versed in human anatomy and is always thinking critically about the best way to communicate complex scientific information. Molly is an excellent collaborator and I was grateful to be her coworker.”
    -Eleanor Milman, MS, CMI

  • As a Project Lead

The following testimonials were awarded to projects I lead, produced and served as key point of contact for.
Shared with permission from Microverse Studios.

“I want to personally thank you for your partnership and the dedication you and your team have shown in supporting our SPOTLIGHT renal basket clinical trial with [redacted]. Your work has been invaluable, and we deeply appreciate all the efforts it has taken in setting up this study. Above all, we want to acknowledge and thank you for believing in this science alongside us.” -Spotlight

Microverse did an amazing job building a beautiful, clear, and concise educational video to explain our deeply technical fertility testing product to a lay audience. I was also impressed by their speed and patience through several rounds of feedback to get things right. The surprise icing on the cake is the generous long-term support and updates they offer after finalizing the deliverable, which is amazing for an evolving startup like ours. It's clear their business is structured to build long-term client relationships and remain accessible to startups. We look forward to working with them again!” -Simbryo

“Without hesitation I endorse the team at Microverse Studios for their expertise, professionalism, creativity and efficient work ethic for any 3D animated project. We have completed two projects with them. Our investors and prospective customers really resonate with the video storytelling for very complex concepts the team at Microverse helped to visualize and demystify. They managed us effectively, and their framework from the storyboarding, key messages, and packaging the finished product was very logical and low maintenance for us.” -CytoTronics

About

As an animator and Certified Medical Illustrator with a Master’s in Biomedical Visualization, I tell compelling stories about science through visuals. I have a particular affinity for pharma, med device, and bioethics. I’ve won over 20 awards from prestigious groups including Muse, The Communicator Awards, and the Association of Medical Illustrators.

My work has been exhibited at medical congresses and published online, print, in peer-reviewed journals and featured in SIGGRAPH Electronic Theater, an Academy-Award qualifying festival.

I regularly guest lecture at the Biomedical Visualization master’s program at UIC in animation and facilitate a graduate level course in Bioethics. I also take on yearly mentors through the Association of Medical Illustrators’ mentorship program.

Beyond my work, I enjoy playing with my dog, gardening, plein-air painting, and taking on projects to renovate our home (when we really should have hired a professional).
